オンライン少人数制英語入門コース第2期

みなさん、こんにちはMasaです。

光陰矢の如し。

オンラインの少人数制英語入門コースは、第1期(全6回)が終了致しました。

参加者の皆様、お楽しみ頂けましたでしょうか。

ざっくばらんに発言出来る、リラックスした明るいグループになってきましたね！

これからも一緒に頑張りましょう :)

本コースのテーマは、各回皆様の何気無い疑問や個別のリクエストにお応えしながら、基礎英語力を0から積み上げることです。

完全なビギナー向けに、日本語話者の視点から、英語の本質に迫ります。

正確な文法(ロジック)の理解は、Speaking、Listening、Writing、Reading、Use of Englishの根幹です。

文法の理解が進めば進むほど、基礎英語力は上がっていきます :)

第1期の復習も踏まえた第2期(全6回)がスタート致しますので、参加を希望の方は是非ご連絡下さい。

以下、詳細です。

レベル:

初級〜上級

英語を基礎から学び直したい方

内容:

1回50分×全6回の少人数制オンライングループレッスン

第1期

Lesson 1

主要な品詞、be動詞、一般動詞 (自動詞と他動詞)、名詞 (可算名詞と不可算名詞)、基本文型

Lesson 2

形容詞の活用 (比較級と最上級)、現在進行形の用法

Lesson 3

動詞の活用、現在形の用法

Lesson 4

状態動詞、過去形の用法、過去進行形の用法

Lesson 5

現在完了形の用法、現在完了進行形の用法

Lesson 6

過去完了形の用法、過去完了進行形の用法

第2期

Lesson 7

レッスン1 〜 6の総復習1、発音と綴り、音節・母音・子音

Lesson 8

レッスン1 〜 6の総復習2、haveとhave got、used toとbe used to

Lesson 9

be going to、will

Lesson 10

will be doing、will have done

Lesson 11

等位接続詞と従属接続詞、when、whileとif

Lesson 12

can、could、be able to、Flapped t、spacing、pitch accentとstress accent

各レッスンの終わりに復習を兼ねた簡単な課題を出します。

イギリス (ボーンマス・ケンブリッジ・ロンドン)とアイルランド (ゴールウェイ)に10年間滞在致しました。ケンブリッジ検定CPEの習得、大学院の卒業、現地教育機関の運営を経て、2014年に帰国し、英語・日本語教師として活動しております。

Causative and Causative Passive reviewed

Hi everyone,
How's study going?
Some of you may like to brush up on Causative and Causative Passive verb conjugations.
Please have a look at the attached :)
In Japanese grammar, Causative means both to make and to let somebody or something do something.
You need to figure out whether the subject is forcing or permitting / allowing purely by the context.
For example,
父親が子供に宿題をさせます。
This sentence most likely means, The father makes his child do his homework.
父親が子供にゲームをさせます。
This sentence most likely means, The father lets his child play the video game.
But, it can technically mean either way really...It is not crystal clear whether the subject is forcing or permitting / allowing.
However, somehow, Japanese people are inclined to think that the father is forcing the child rather than permitting /allowing in both contexts.
This is probably because as they know that it is not clear enough, when they like to express to permit and to allow, they emphasize it.
You pick a verb, conjugate it to Causative, conjugate it to Te Form and then add あげます or くれます.
For example,
父親が子供にゲームをさせてあげます。
This sentence definitely means, The father lets his child play the video game.
父が私にゲームをさせてくれます。
This sentence definitely means, My father lets me play the video game.
Whereas Causative Passive only means to be made to do something by somebody or something.
It is clear that the subject is being forced.
For example,
子供が父親に宿題をさせられます。
This sentence means, The child is made to do his homework by his father.
子供が父親にゲームをさせられます。
This sentence means, The child is made to play the video game by his father.
If you like to express to be permitted / allowed to do something by somebody or something, you need to take a slightly different approach.
You pick a verb, conjugate it to Causative, conjugate it to Te Form and then add もらいます.
For example,
子供が父親にゲームをさせてもらいます。
This sentence means, The child is permitted / allowed to play the video game by his father.
These grammars first appear in N4 and continue into N3.
Most people seem to struggle with organising the ideas or using them in their spontaneous speech so we thought we should explain to you the basic ideas in English also :)
