みなさん、おはようございます！

ASAOの日本語教師、タイトです。

あっという間にもう師走、体感では光陰矢の如しが毎年加速しています。
そんな中、先週の土曜日、ASAOの伝統文化部を開催しました！今回は「遊戯」がテーマでした！

まずチャンレンジしたのは将棋。私は日本のプライドをかけて挑みましたが、コウさんにきれいに2連敗しました！ビールのせいだ！
続いて花札。愛子先生のガイドで「花合わせ」に挑戦。みなさん熱中していたからか、あっという間に時間が過ぎ、最後の麻雀は最後までプレイできませんでしたが、いずれの遊戯もその奥深さを垣間見ることができたので、また皆が集まる場で楽しむのも一興だと思いました。

We hope you enjoyed it :)

Now we know the basics of Shogi, Hanafuda and Karuta.

Here are the ones we actually used. Especially the Shogi and Karuta sets are originally made for children so very easy to play.

They can be good studying tools as well :)

(With Hanafuda, there are a few ways to play. It is available in the 100 yen shops but you might need somebody who can lead first.)

Let's study Mahjong more in details the next time :)

10月は、ASAOのイベントで「伝統文化部」を行いました。
岩井先生の金蘭の友、須永翠苑先生を講師に招き、書道と水墨画を教わりました！

みなさんが書きたい漢字を考え集中し書く姿はとても素敵でした。 2種類の書を完成させ、終了後は2次会？打ち上げ？のため飲み屋街へ。最後は一本締めと、日本スタイルで締めくくりました。

11月も、通常のPub Nightの特別版として、月末に何かイベントをしたいと考えています。またご案内させてもらいます。

【やさしいにほんご】

みなさんこんばんは！
日本語（にほんご）教師（きょうし）のタイトです。
10月（じゅうがつ）、ASAOのイベントで「伝統（でんとう）文化（ぶんか）部（ぶ）」をしました。
あきこ先生（せんせい）の友達（ともだち）、翠苑（すいえん）先生に、書道（しょどう）と水墨画（すいぼくが）を習（なら）いました！

みんな、書（か）きたい漢字（かんじ）を考（かんが）えて、集中（しゅうちゅう）していて、かっこよかった！
そのあとは「飲み屋街（のみやがい）」へ2次会（にじかい）に行（い）きました。最後（さいご）は日本のスタイルの「一本締め（いっぽんじめ）」をしました。

Thank you so much for joining us for the Denntoubunnkabu in October!
I hope you all enjoyed it :)

(Special thanks go to Suienn sensei!)

We used to organise a cultural / social activity in person like this every month until 2019.

After a break for 3 years, we restarted it with the Pub Night in 2023.

It is great to see you all again :)

We aim to bring back the old in person events like Konnshinnkai, Yamabu, Shakaikakenngakubu, Zukoubu, Ryouribu, Denntoubunnkabu on top of Bounennkai and Shinnnennkai from now on.

Let's get together and have fun learning the culture and practicing the language!

Asaoの日本語教師タイトです。 日が落ちるのが早くなってきましたね。夏至過ぎてだいぶ経つしね、、なんて話から今日私はレッスンで、イングランドのストーンヘンジで夏至に行われるSummer Solsticeなる祭りがあることを教えてもらいました。 とはいえまだ暑い日が続く東京コンクリートジャングル。ゆめゆめ無理をなさらぬよう。8月のPub Nightの様子をお伝えします。

How are you?

Thank you so much for joining us for the last Pub Night! We hope you enjoyed it :)

How did you find the venue this time? I personally liked the place a lot as it has a great access from Shinjuku station, a range of drinks including a variety of craft beers and ciders which are reasonably priced and lots of entertainment around. It is spacious enough to accommodate groups even on a Friday night :)

The next Pub Night is going to be from 19:30 on Friday 29 September :) Taito sensei is fixing the next venue right now.

Let's discover Tokyo together!

みなさんこんばんは！
毎月恒例のPub Nightを行いました。

今回は西新宿にての開催。いろんな話題に触れましたが、深淵なるオノマトペについて／ハイキングやビアガーデンや各国の料理をみんなで作ったりするイベントやりたいね／枝豆のからの「から」って何？といった話題で盛り上がりました。
また、私の生徒のトマシュとは、日本酒の角打ちに行きたいね、と以前から話していたことに再度触れてみたり。その話、乗った！と賛同の声をあげてくれる方がいれば、Pub nightでの日本酒回も現実になるかも？（お酒を飲まない方の声ももちろんウェルカムです）

The venue we chose this time was called Oonoya and it was located within a 10 minute walk from the west gate of Shinjuku station. With its great accessibility and pricing structure, the place turned out to be one of the most popular places among Japanese office workers, especially after work on Friday. There are lots of choices for drinking in Shinjuku, but Oonoya is definitely worth a try :)
